Ingredient Callouts: Free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban. This product is also vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.
This color-safe shampoo revitalizes hair by gently removing buildup and soothing the scalp. Its formula includes a chelating agent that removes hard water buildup, a gentle surfactant that clears out pollution particles, activated charcoal that absorbs excess oil, and witch hazel that moisturizes the scalp.
-Apply to wet hair, lather, and rinse.
-Follow with conditioner.
-Use in place of regular shampoo as needed.
-Use once a week if you are not sure how often you should use this shampoo.
-If don't experience a lather, try using more product.
-Some users found their hair felt drier after using PhD Triple Detox Shampoo, which is normal, so follow with Living Proof Conditioner for extra hydration.
Using the hard-water test strip:
-Dip indicator into water sample for three seconds or run under water for three seconds.
-Remove.
-Do not shake.
-Wait 20 seconds and then match to the closest color block on packet.
-For hard-water buildup removal, leave on for one to two minutes before rinsing.
